WSO2 Technology Executives and eBay Guest Presenter to Conduct Case Study Webinar on API Management

Increasingly enterprises are recognizing how APIs drive revenues and strengthen relationships with customers and partners. Perhaps no company understands relationships and revenue better than eBay. With more than 100 million active users globally, the total value of goods sold on eBay in 2011 was $68.6 billion—more than $2,100 every second. Each transaction was managed by one or more eBay APIs.

To share best practices for API management, WSO2 will conduct a webinar entitled, “WSO2 & eBay Case Study - How eBay Uses the Open Source WSO2 ESB to Process Over 1 Billion Transactions Per Day.” WSO2 speakers Paul Fremantle, WSO2 co-founder and CTO, and Chris Haddad, vice president of technology evangelism, will be joined by guest presenter Abhinav Kumar, senior manager of the services platform at eBay

The webinar will examine how eBay processes more than 1 billion transactions per day—including external traffic loads from different functional areas, such as shopping, trading, checkout and mobile—using the WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus (WSO2 ESB) to manage the service mediation and orchestration within its APIs. The session also will:

Explore the considerations eBay made during the ESB selection process.
Review eBay’s architectural approach and WSO2 ESB deployment.
Explain how the WSO2 ESB supports eBay’s transaction processing services.
